Why They Failed

I recently noticed that a local business down the road has failed and gone out of business. Over a short amount of time I was able to see that the business had less and less traffic coming and going. There are many different reasons why the business could have failed but I have a few of my own opinions on why I think it did. Since I am in business, I know what it takes for a business to be successful and know of some things that could cause it to go downhill and not succeed at all. If someone is in business just to make a quick buck, that could be a big reason why their business would fail. If you are not focused on making a long term goal out of it, you might not do as well. It takes a lot of hard work for a business to not fail.

Patience Is Important In Business
Patience Is Important In Business

I believe the local business down the road has failed because the business owner was not willing to get down and dirty and problem solve when issues arose that could have caused the business to hear in the wrong direction. If you let something stand in your way and bring you down, you business will not go where it needs to, it will only fail. I believe the local business down the road would not have failed if actions were taken and not just a vision to succeed was formed. If the business owner had any past experiences to use with this business, along with their intelligence and common sense, the business may not have failed. But it seemed as if none of that was being used when running their business. You have to make mindful decisions when running a business that you do not want to fail and see succeed.

I think the business owner of the business down the road was scared of the new challenges that were being brought up and could not handle them. I think their business failed because they were not willing to take a giant leap of faith in pursuit that their ideas would work, or at least give them a shot. The business was not even open for very long and that shows me that the owner gave up and did not give it their all to see their business succeed. They did not spend enough time experimenting with different things to see what actually worked and what did not. The business owner did not search for the success that drove the value of the business and instead let it fail. If the business owner of the local business down the road would have had a bit more of patience and gave their business time to grow and expand, I believe that their business would not have failed and actually become very successful. You cannot succeed in business if you give the life of it a cut off notice when it is not yet ready to be cut off.

What It Means To Be In Business

Something that is important to remember is what it means to be in business. If you are a business owner, you know that it takes a lot of time and dedication. Being in business means you have to be passionate and very dedicated to what you are doing. If you are not any of these things, then your business will most likely will not do very well or will not succeed. Being in business is creating something, nurturing and leading it. It is a labor of love, guts, and a ton of hard work. There is a lot more to it than that and a business owner will grow to love it. It is never easy and the road can be very windy.
